Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm using it with an Asus P5N-E SLI which has the same chipset, 650i.
I'm surprised how well they OC for the value of the kit,
max oc so far is 1018 / 5-5-5-15 / 2.01v
Even the kit is rated as 800 5-6-6-18 running at 800 4-4-4-15 with 1.8v is no problem.
Thanks for the advice, I'll forget about the CoolerMaster.
I read the NeoHE 550 was also made by Seasonic.
Would it be reason enough to choose the NeoHE over the TP3 just for being a modular psu?
Unfortunately those are the options I can find here in Uruguay at a reasonable price :)
I can add...
My new 8800GT will arrive in a couple of days, and these are the only power supply options I have.
Which one would be a better choice?
The specs are almost the same:
NEO HE 550
+3.3V - 24A
+5V - 20A
+12V - 18A (x3)
TRIO 550
+3.3V - 24A
+5V - 24A
+12V - 18A (x3)
I can also get a...
well sir, you've been very lucky :D
the OEM version has no design in the fan, only the retail version
is this how your vram chip looks?
those vram chips are used in the chinease retail version,
and according to Samsung's website
K4XXXXXXXX-[Suffix]
1A = 1.0ns (1000MHz)
11 = 1.1ns...
Stock clock for 1.2ns vram is 1666. [1000 / 1.2]
and were used in the 256mb version at 1600Mhz
Just to let you know that at 2000Mhz those chips are highly overclocked.
Althought it is Samsung vram, which is usually better than Qimonda.
look at the last two numbers on any vram chip
10 = 1.0ns
12 = 1.2ns
as you can see in this review, the 256mb version were equipped with Samsung vram 1.2ns

Nice to see the jumper actually works.
Could you check if your Samsung vram is 1.0 or 1.2ns?
The voltage increase should be of 0.5 which can be reached by simply modifying the BIOS
Anything higher is only reached by hardmods.
I just asked at xtremesystems how to measure vcore with a multimeter...
At first when this card showed up at NCIX, the reviews from users were not so good about vram overclocking. Even Galaxy used Qimonda 1.0ns, it was difficult to reach 2000Mhz.
Now, there are a few examples of people reaching higher overclocks, around 2100 - 2200,
and the only difference so...
