I use the Scythe Ninja Plus with a Thermaltake 120mm fan on it. Presently it is not overclocked and runs 26-27C idle. When i do oc it, the temps still stay cool around 31-33C depending on how much i overclock it.
I have the E6600 and the Scythe Ninja Plus but i use a 120mm fan from Thermaltake on it and i get 28C-31C for my idle temps and i used some AS5 on it too. I spread the as5 out with a razor blade. Not to be mean or trying to down you but did you take the plastic off the bottom of the heatsink...
Keep checking Newegg and Zipzoomfly. I just ordered my from ZZF last Thursday. I put it on autonotify and noticed i had a email from them that it was back in stock and went and ordered one. I paid 379 for mine. Auto Notify option seems the best so far.
I am going to upgrade my sound card from a sb live to a xfi fatality. I currently have cambridge soundworks dtt3500 speaker system. I have read this speaker system is not so compatible with this new sound card. I was looking at the logitech z5500 or the klipsch promedia ultra 5.1 but not sure...
I am running this board with p4 650 and corsair 8000ul. I have oc'd the chip to 4.2ghz and had the memory over 1000mhz. I did change most of the settings through the bios. I have used ai overclock tool as well but seems better through the bios. I used bios version 0509. This is a very nice...
I have not tried them any lower yet but will soon to see how far these can be pushed. From what i have read these work great and can have some great timings when setup correctly
