Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Great thanks for the info. I need 12v 2.5a output out of usb PD. So I'm going to pair the ZYPDS super mini. Which has a fixed voltage output of 15v or 20v (no need to push buttons) with a step down dc/dc board to bring it down to 12v. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32998937888.html

Hey sorry for the necro. But I'm literally trying to do the same exact thing. Did the zy12pds work out for you? What did you solder to lock the chip into 12v?
well I've worked it down further.
The napp-it script enables the multicast/mdns service which is used by Avahi for services advertisement. Disabling this fixes the issue. However you lose avahi support.

Yes I agree, there shouldn't be any dependency between them. But the only change I made was running the afpd script and it broke the system. Using the boot image before the script fixes the issue.
NFS still worked, since I could mount the share via linux. However ESXi didn't like the share...
Here is an odd one.
I've ESXi 5 and Oi151 installed. I'm using NFS to share the zfs pool back to esxi for use as a datastore.
I install napp-it, everything works fine. I then install the afpd extension to napp-it. wget -O - www.napp-it.org/afp | perl And all the VMs on the NFS datastore...
quick update.
SM has a beta/unreleased bios (v1.0c BIOS date 06/23/11) that fixes iommu. This 600 USD server board has been on the market for 8-9 months with broken iommu support and they still haven't publicly posted the fix on the support page.
Coupled with their terrible support, (I...
It's supposed to support it, the manual does mention it.
I suppose the bios could be buggy, but with only 1 person's account of the board, it could just as easily be a defective board.
I was hoping to find another person with the board who could clarify the matter.
tl;dr ---> Does anyone have firsthand experience with supermicro H8DG6-F? Does iommu work on it?
Hello,
I hope this is the right forum, coudn't decide if this belongs in Virtualized computing or storage systems.
I'm building an amd opteron box based around the Supermicro H8DG6-F...
