Analogue is the only way I can get 1920 x 1200.
Via DVI even when set to 1920 x 1200, I get black bands either side of the screen and the desktop scrolls. I don't know if its the card (FX5200 chip) or the monitor.
But even so, I really can't see much difference in quallity. I do CAD work...
Sorted.
I have swapped the connection from DVi to analogue and now it is at maximum res.
I thought I may have had to shell out on a new graphics card. phew
I need a new graphics card, not for games but mainly for CAD - Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, VIZ and Photoshop. I do 3d modelling, but not very complicated models (small buildings)
I want good OpenGL support, and it must be AGP.
I would prefere a Quadro, but I am on a budget so it would have...
How do I get this monitor to display at 1920 x 1200?
If I set it to 1:1 then I get wide bands at each side of the screen, full screen setting stretches the desktop.
When I set my card to 1920 x 1200, it does not go to full screen but scrolls the desktop
My graphics card is a Nvidia...
According to Walsh Western courier tracking, it is sitting in the depot about 10 miles from me. The courier has 'phoned me to arrange a delivery time.
Its been there since Friday, and I wanted to fetch it myself due to the bank holiday delaying things, but the depot was closed.

I ordered on the 19th May and got the 45 day lead time quoted. However it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow - 1st June.
I also got in before the price rise

I ordered one on the 19th May for £648, and despite the quoted 45 day lead time it should be here on 1st June.
I'll obviously mention the savings against the new Dell price when I explain it to the wife!
Has anyone elso noticed the dramatic price increase - up to £1,177.35 from £860
I suppose I was lucky to get in just before the increase
I wonder what price it can be had for now with any discounts?
I have seen these on offer here in the UK for £95 (175 USD).
Is this a good card for this price - I know they were much more when they originally came out.
I don't play games, it will be for CAD and some 3d rendering/photoshop work.
Oh, and it mst be able to drive my Dell 2405 which is...
What a sleazy rip off. I certainly would not want to line his pockets
Google, or browse some forums and you will find a code for free.
Or just phone them up and negotiate the 25% discount. Easy
I have just ordered one by phone too. £648 was quoted, but I may try to cancel/renegotiate later ;)
With regards to keeping the second monitor, this is covered by the Unsolicited Goods and Services Act 1971.
Previously you would have had to wait 6 months before you could claim the...
