    970/980 Coil Whine

    Should mention, I've had the mis twinfrozr 980 and a PNY reference gtx 980 and they are both experiencing coil whine. I'm more surprised that the reference cards experiencing coil whine. The Zotac I have now, also a reference doesn't seem to be experiencing this problem.

    I think you simply have a bad one. The front panel mic and stereo inputs work perfectly fine for me and I have 0 problems for booting, although I'm not sure about the front panel mic and stereo, the booting problem might not be entirely the motherboards fault.
