    Although I'm not a big fan of Vista, I can confirm that the interface is just as fast as XP if you have RAM to waste. That's why this thread is about video drivers performance only.

    Thank you for that link. The games tested show there's still some performance difference on nvidia side, but 10% in the worst cases and around equal in most cases. Newest nvidia betas are even better, ATI has never had any problems with Vista anyway, so I guess going back to XP is not worth it...

    Rivatuner can't detect if the OS is in 2D mode or in 3D mode, so it's not an alternative to Atitool. Even in Atitool, all clocks should be the same in 2D and 3D profiles but since you're making different profiles for 2D and 3D, it's not a problem.
