Try contacting Asus, they might be able to RMA if it is still under warranty. Or they can sent you a cooler for $$$. Or just go hunt for a used 9800gt. :p

Are Nvidia cards quieter than AMDATI?

Everyone has a different tolerance for noise. My friend has a one of those antec 900 and antec fans at medium, to me it sounded like a turbine, but for him those fans at medium is consider quiet. I only use fans that have 20DBA ratings or lower, and I have 6 of them in a CM690. And the...

Are Nvidia cards quieter than AMDATI?

I say it all depends on vendor, unless your buying the ati reference type of cards, reference types should be all the same. From my experience either it be ati or nvidia cards, when its been stress the fan speed always kicks up and produces a decent amount of noise. The only way is to get...

    Ordered a 9800 GT eco-intelligence . Will E2180 @ 2.0 Ghz stock bottleneck it?

You have to consider E2180 chips that can do 3.6ghz is either a cherry or it needs extreme volts, which is no good at long term runs if it needs lots of juice. Here's a good link for some settings and info for your E2180 :cool...

    Ordered a 9800 GT eco-intelligence . Will E2180 @ 2.0 Ghz stock bottleneck it?

I used to have a 8800gt and a E2180 and I was gaming under 1280x1024(CRT). With a E2180 @ 3.0ghz i was able to play HF2/Lost coast at high settings. At stock clocks PC seem to struggle to get some decent frames. As for COD4 I never played it so i won't know if your set up might be enough. I...
