Hello there. :)
During my late spring cleaning I notice my gtx 260 has some wet/oil spots
It has been running in my system with 196.21 drivers for the past 2 years. Smooth sailing so far.
Is this the normal for aging gpus?
Try contacting Asus, they might be able to RMA if it is still under warranty. Or they can sent you a cooler for $$$.
Or just go hunt for a used 9800gt. :p
Everyone has a different tolerance for noise. My friend has a one of those antec 900 and antec fans at medium, to me it sounded like a turbine, but for him those fans at medium is consider quiet.
I only use fans that have 20DBA ratings or lower, and I have 6 of them in a CM690. And the...
Back then I always though I get best of the eye candy if I put the resolution to the highest possible :p
Thank you for the great advice
The AC pro 7 won't be as loud as those fans that your gonna buy :D In fact the AC pro 7 is gonna be dead quiet compared to those 2 yates :p

It was a 8800GTS 640MB with 320 bus width + 112SP :p

Its a Looooooooonnnnnnnnnnnngggg list, are you sure your up to the challenge? And Ram size also makes a differences in ranking too. E.G 4870 1GB > gtx 260 216 > 4870 512mb
And what resolution are we comparing it and ranking them at? 2650x1920?
You have to consider E2180 chips that can do 3.6ghz is either a cherry or it needs extreme volts, which is no good at long term runs if it needs lots of juice.
Here's a good link for some settings and info for your E2180 :cool...
I used to have a 8800gt and a E2180 and I was gaming under 1280x1024(CRT). With a E2180 @ 3.0ghz i was able to play HF2/Lost coast at high settings. At stock clocks PC seem to struggle to get some decent frames.
As for COD4 I never played it so i won't know if your set up might be enough. I...
