Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Actually, the non-expansion bay version of this card has been working exceptionally well for me- on all fronts. It's been head and shoulders above the Asus Xonars before it and definitely the old X-Fi XtremeGamer I had sitting around as well.
The key for me with it has been finding the right...
Pretty much any 90 degree Silverstone case- any Raven, FT02, FT03, or the TJ11. If money's no object... nom TJ11.
That said, key word there is air cooling. If you want to do water, outside the TJ11, not sure how well most of those will do you. For ex, wouldn't do it with my RV02E since the...
I'm still in love with my Silverstone Raven RV02E. Every case that isn't rotated 90 degrees like it is just feels primitive to me now. I wouldn't say that the cooling is amazingly better than other high-end cases out there, but the inherent shift in weight distribution makes what is a "full...
It supports FXAA- with FXAA High I haven't been able to spot any glaring aliasing, or really any at all. Don't want to take a guess at what gen it is, but it definitely seems to be more in-line with gen 3 rather than the gen 1 FXAA most recent titles have been sporting.
A few reasons. DX9 and DX10+ have core differences in their set-ups. Having "DX10/DX11 mode" is almost a matter of having a second version of the game's graphical core. DX10/11 have a different library of functions from DX9, and are at least as different as Windows XP is to Windows Vista and...
Can only say that I have the game running with max DX11 settings (including high PhysX) on my GTX 580 + GTX 280 @1920x1200 and at its worst times it drops into the high 40s, but remains fluid and otherwise hovers in the 80s and above.
Does all that and looks quite nice doing it. I haven't...
Actually, if you were referring to me, I installed it to a spare 500GB HDD. Going to try sequentially unplugging stuff now to try and figure out what it doesn't like.
Remember that they're not doing a real cold boot in that video. Will remain to be seen if- what is effectively a sleep/hibernate replacement- is effective/not buggy for long-term use.
Minus the part where the PC version has over 9000x more dynamic lighting whereas most of that's replaced with static lighting in the console versions. But yeah, that doesn't make any kind of performance or IQ difference, especially for a game with destructible environments -_-
@Alpha: Can't...
You're assuming that we know everything, which there's a pretty good chance we don't. But, what we do know is that at a bare minimum BF3 is using Origin for friends management.
They have no need to do such with games that don't leverage some specific facet of advanced Origin functionality or etc. For everything else, being able to run without the client is a feature, otherwise they'd not have designed Origin that way and just did what Steam did. 'cuz, ya know, Steam...
In-game tabbed chat, in-game web browser, out of game tabbed chat, invite friends to game, join friends game, game library sorting (fixed, minimal atm, but probably something they'll expand later), capability to activate EA games on Origin (including Steam games- actually swapped BC2 from Steam...
