Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Any reason you didn't try stepping up sandpaper grit?
I think there are films for polishing fiber optics well above 3000 grit.
Idk if it'd work, but you can probably find assortments in small quantities
How long has yours been de-matted, & would you do it again?
I prefer glossy monitors. Reflections don't bother me.
The thing I'm concerned about is damage to the screen surface. When the lower layer is exposed, it seems to be more fragile than a consumer product, and gets scuffed/scratched...
Is the 255H a big improvement over the 155H?
On cpubenchmark, it looks like this 255H has had the biggest single-thread jump in a few generations.
Intel Core Ultra 7 255H multithread - 30,798 , single thread - 4483
Intel Core Ultra 7 155H 24,947 , 3479
Intel Core i7-1360P 18,709...
I've been running the PSU with everything minus 8 fans & leds for something like 8 months to 1 year. Is adding 2A peak worth of fans a considerable amount? They'll be spinning @400-800 RPM typically.
Can I attach 6.4A of components to a single PSU 6-pin peripheral (SATA) port?
the PSU has 2 ports, but it'd be easier to run off 1
I'll be making a custom cable. I'd prefer to use 18awg for SFF. Total length between 2-3 feet. 4x connections (2x SSDs, 1x HDD, 1x fan hub)
I'm confused about...
Currently, when I'm testing an overclock & have a crash (or any kind of game crash in general), the screen goes black & I get a "No Signal" which I solve via unplugging & replugging the HDMI connection.
Does anyone know of an easier workaround?
I've read about hotkey resolution changer...
Window resizers-
Has anyone played around with a few & found a preferred program? I've seen KDE & Winsplit refrenced here, I guess there are a lot more available out there than I thought: http://alternativeto.net/software/gridmove/?platform=windows. I'm currently trialing Winsplit. A nice...
I came to the conclusion that I'd try a single 280mm in my system. 180w gpu + 85w cpu + ML140 fans.
Don't know how valid these results are; but I usually side with evidence provided over speculation- youtube.com/watch?v=-Z0mE9avtnY
I heard a lot of
- "No you need 120mm/100w, or...
I was thinking about polling over in the display forum, any input?
Thought it should be split into 2 polls, 1) What do you currently game at. 2) What do you realistically plan to game at in 2017 (upgrades)
I don't really know how to phrase the question/answers. The basic question to ask is...
Here's a pretty thorough comparison of 980ti's SLI'd vs 1080/1070/980ti (1080p/1440/2160).

For the people interested in 3440x1440, here is a link to 1080vsTitanX at that res (also 2k + 4k) if you're looking for info to extrapolate- http://www.babeltechreviews.com/titan-x-vs-gtx-1080-25-games-tested-4k-2k-1440p/3/
What about the idea of beginning to shift the standard towards benchmarking max quality 4k as well?
It seems to follow that after the 4k 60fps ceiling can be achieved, it's time to increase the graphics settings of tests.
Of course a <1070 is completely usable with 4k, but moving beyond...
Thanks for polling.
If you're asking about just an initial evaluation, I think a 4k focus would be fine.
If you're asking about how you should focus a one and only review, I'd think that including 1440p would (at the least) draw a larger audience/traffic and benefit a lot of people, even if...
