30% faster than 1080 would still be good. This was the performance delta between 980 and Mitan X.

Need to find out if NZXT knows the G10 will fit the Pitan X... They say it fits the 1080, so here's hoping.

Nah Mitan X had a larger margin. It had 50% more cores than the 980.

Pitan X has only 40% more than the 1080.

Not a huge difference. Titan X had more performance than review sites showed but you had to unlock / cool it correctly. This will likely be more important on the Pitan X...

So you could be correct if you leave everything at stock. But this is [H] and we're men here. :)

The *only* people who will buy this card and leave it at stock (clocks + cooler) are those who buy it for HPC.

If you buy this for gaming and keep it at stock you're an ass[H]ole

More like in an effort to bank all the profits! Quality is a non issue with after market card.
I'd say quality can only be improved on the reference cards and when you buy a ultra expensive card like the Titan X or a Quadro you would want to have the option of a better PCB and/or cooling.

There seem to be a few custom Maxwell Titan X cards like from Gigabyte so makes me wonder if the Pascal Titan X will also get a custom version. The Gigabyte site has conflicting photos showing both a reference cooler and a custom Xtreme version like my 980Ti.

This guy has some interesting research about gfx cards: AdoredTV

That guy has to be a paid PR worker for AMD, isn't he the muppet that posted a video of there being no way NVIDIA got any GDDR5X SKU out in 2016...he should team up with Charlie...would make a nice team Muppet...

AdoredTV? A muppet? Nah.

He's a mental Olympic gymnast, that's what he is

I've spoken to him on reddit, he's surprisingly inept at discussion, responded to my accusations by saying he makes loads more money from one video than I will in a lifetime. Lovely guy ;)

So if the Titan officially get launched tomorrow, that would mean that they would lift any NDA´s and we should see benchies right away one hopes or?

Depends if they actually sent out cards for reviews. Its a "prosumer" card.

[H] did a review of Kitan, which was a prosumer card, so here's hoping they get to review the Pitan.

I am sorry, but do you have problems telling these two apart?

1. NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X
2. NVIDIA Titan X

?

If not, drop the silly "nicknames".
This is a tech forum, not kindergarten...or am I mistaken?

Techforums have all kinds of hidden ailments..

in other news, they really should have named it otherwise.. so therefore i fully endorse PitanX

Check out that performance margin. I had a feeling that Titan X performance wouldn't be mind blowing when Nvidia announced 1060 SLI (what SLI?) shenanigans. It does make good business sense to cripple your bottom tier card so it can't overtake your halo product in performance....You know...for half the price.

Ok so roughly 19% better (non OC), I wonder how it OC? if its already maxed out or if u can get additional "umphf" :)

Didn't know tech forums have bigger issues with how things are named, not what the things are...

We have come to the point where people, on a supposedly tech forum, cannot tell these apart:

NVIDIA Titan X
NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X

Instead, they "invent" stupid names...when the SKU name would be the next logical step.
Must be a generation Curling thing *shrugs*

If you cannot tell the two apart, you have disqualified yourself from any debate about said hardware...due to ignorance (stating facts is not an insult, but simply a fact)

I tend to not really care what people call it - and i welcome all debate with people calling it whatever they please - as long as they can communicate which one they are talkiing about - Pitan X should be just as fast and efficient no mather what nickname people come up with..

I didn't know people played benchmarks. Have I been doing it wrong all these years?

If you put lipstick on a pig and call it Nvidia Geforce Titan X, Pitan X, Titan (Roman Numeral X), Titan neXt, or is it just a pig? If a bear sh*ts in the woods do I care?

It's very likely that it's thermally maxed. If you do custom or AIO cooler and a power limit mod it should OC really well (from where it is).

Alright...Just bought one. The question is....Do we buy two Armenius?

How'd you guys get it? Did you have any trouble? When I click BUY NOW nothing happens.

Now the question is will the EVGA Hybrid kit work with the Pitan...

That's what I wanna know. Maybe I'm just cheap, but I don't think I would spend $1200 on something that i have no idea how it performs.

I'm expecting 20%-30% faster than a 1080. Should help me out immensely for my other non-gaming doings (solid works, programming, VMs, number crunching). I don't buy quadro stuff...I game too much for that....and can't afford it.
