M-Rated Star Wars: 1313 First Look

I love the idea of playing an Uncharted like game in the Star Wars Universe, so far this looks pretty damn good. I hope it lives up.

Did you dip your p**is in carbonite or are you just happy to see me?

If I said "both" would you think less of me?

Oh I'm sorry, my memory polished that turd slightly.

"Get ready to literally be blown away."

Jackass. Proves you can put a suit on a monkey and call him a journalist.

graphics look great. too early to tell about gameplay. cool to see they made their own engine (i think thats what they said) and that theyre developing on PC.

Looks nice.

But it aint true M rated unless you get to bang the princess doggy style.

I seriously doubt it will get an M rating, only way that happens if there is nudity/sex which I can't foresee happening in a Lucasarts game.

Pretty much all of the shinier looking games this year (Watch Dogs, 1313) were all shown running off PC's. You could even see a big ass green coloured Nvidia rig running at the front of the state at the EA press conference.

PC or not that demo player is using a gamepad; watch those axis locked movements and aim. Looks nice though.

Looked to me like Uncharted and Dead Space had a baby and they both moved to the Star Wars universe for the better schools.

Could be good.

Graphics look great, I don't know about the combat though. Looks like it still could go either way. Looking forward to seeing more on this for sure.

360 gamepad being used for sure. So not really happy about that. Still, if it is pc, I will bite eventually.

My Star Wars hard on is just that huge. I buy most of the gmaes just to live a little while in that universe.

He said it was running on a high end pc with nVidia graphics card. Wonder what the specs will be when it releases to get that kind of play?

Eh, Gears of War in another galaxy far, far away...really not sure about this one, hopefully it's good I like the SW universe, but I didn't bother buying Force unleashed II, and the last SW game I was really into was Jedi Knight II, and Republic Commando.

There are tech demos that look that good for sure.

The questions is, is it all eyecandy, or will it be actually playable?

"You won't know when the cutscene ends and when you have control"? Doesn't sounds promising. Sounds like it's going to be on-rails. I mean, the "player controlled" bit jumping and climbing? What kind of control do you even have there? The oddball third-person top-down/over-shoulder mix of shooting? I have no problem with third-person shooters, but it just looks like the only actual control part is the over-shoulder bits.

We can only hope that the gameplay is as good as the graphics.
The graphics look amazing though, very impressive.

Another Gears of War clone.. how sad. It looks nice, but cover and shoot games with checkpoints.. ugh.

So, did Nvidia pay to be mentioned in that video? and will it be a TWIMTBP title?

I don't mind the Nvidia plug, but I do mind if the game is a TWIMTBP that gets crippled on other hardware.

Yeah I was going to say that. You can tell by the camera movement that a thumb controller is being used - it's too slow and smooth, compared to zipping the camera around with a mouse.

Looks beautiful to be sure, but it's on the console.

Self edit: or someone's using a gamepad on a PC, seeing how someone mentioned they're using a high-end PC with the latest nVidia card.

Graphics look great, gameplay reminded me of Rebel Assault... they need to show us a bit more :)

Yeah, I'm not really seeing the dark gritty side they're talking about in those videos. I'm also not seeing any great reason to get excited yet, they didn't say anything that sounds tremendously interesting and frankly the gameplay looked a bit boring.

Impressive graphics. Hope they make a Jedi game with this engine. Love me some red lightsabers and force lightning!

The graphics look nice. And I understand that we only got to see a few very short clips, but the vib I got was that it's going be be another heavily scripted, linear, cinematic game. Just the camera system alone that were being used in these demos made me dislike it.
