Okay, so this is getting on my nerves.

Does anyone know of a program that is not VirtualDub (as it's crap) for converting FRAPS Video Files into HD Xvid or something? (Something that keeps audio untouched and does what I need it to do video wise, most of my recordings are in HD, but I want to compress them enough to be a heck of a lot smaller in size then what fraps does)

I've done the whole VirtualDub crap, it sucks, it does nothing, I can play the FRAPS video just fine, runs smooth, I use VD, and the whole video is messed up, slow as heck, audio messed up.

Then again, I have no clue on how to truly use VirtualDub, but going to fraps.com and reading, plus googling, you'd think it would be damn easy.

I've used the 32 and 64 bit versions. Both do the same thing.

I once had a converter, years ago, which worked, but damned if I know what it was. But at least it worked.

Nope, don't work.
Sure, reads em(some), but either crashes or wont even load some of the frap videos.

More and more actually using the settings in VD, seems like hit or miss. Some will some wont.

So stop using the regular 0.9.4 "public" version of HandBrake and go get the Nightly Build (far more current and can most likely handle the FRAPS output). You can find them here:

I've yet to encounter an issue of being able to record anything with FRAPS that HandBrake can't handle... not sure why other people have so many troubles. I've done simple stuff at 800x600@30fps and 720p stuff @ 30fps, even a few tests at 1080p @ 30fps and the resulting output from FRAPS is always picked up and crunched by HandBrake without problems.

Weird...
