Core 2 Quad 8200 $99 at Microcenter

Ok, so all locations are showing 0 in stock, I imagine they have them reserved for this sale.
 
Which one OC better? Will I notice the difference from a 6300 @ 2.93 to a 8200 or 9300?
 
One would think that the Q8200 would overclock better since it's 45 nm vs 65 nm on the Q6300
 
Fyi, the Oc's on Q8200's are crap, this is why everyone wants Q6600's and not Q8200's. They tend to max out at arround 3ghz vs the 3.4 - 3.8ghz of the Q6600 and not to mention the Q6600 has more L2 cache making it a better CPU all arround.

Still, for $100 its about $30 - $50 cheaper than a used Q6600 so its still a good deal on an intel quad.

Anyone know how many in stock @ the Tustin/Orange County location?

Also, is the 9300 a misprice? I dont get why they'd send the email flyer out for the 8200 and then also offer the 9300 at the same price.

There are no 9300, if there were I would've gotten one though.

I guess I'll check back to see if they just messed up or something cuz I want one, and it'd be a good upgrade for me.
 
Is it possible it says out of stock because it is out of stock for online order and you have to go in store to get it?

i would probably buy it just to mess with it but my mobo doesnt support it.

It seems you can't even buy online, it's all pick up in store. And you have to choose a spot. So, I'd guess its not only online.
 
You know, I would complain that you didn't put B&M in the title, but the fact that it's Microcenter makes me assume that anyway. :eek:

39 here in Chicago 24 out in the Westmont location. Might pick one up if they have some left when I leave work.
 
6 in stock in Houston now. It was 33 when I ordered mine this morning around 8:30. Fixing to go pick mine up at lunch. I know it doesn't OC worth a crap, but who cares? It's a $100 quad core. Damn good deal if you ask me.
