First time seller despite being around for 10+ years. Don't have heat yet but here is my eBay rating:

Willing to trade a very lightly used and loved iRobot Roomba 770 Vacuum Cleaning Robot with two extra sensors for a decent used R9 Fury or GeForce GTX 980 for my son's PC. Son is moving from console gaming and got a used MAC Pro. Not good enough for Fallot4 so I am going to give him my PC and take the MAC Pro because no time to game. My video card is way obsolete.

We love the Roomba but there is a small problem. If your significant other insists on a contemporary pattern carpeting with solid black lines the Roomba's sensors think the lines are a death cliff and stops.

Carpet wins. Roomba sits idle with original box and all parts.

Not to go too off topic here, but couldn't you just disable the edge sensors? I don't know anything about doing it, but thought it could be done. Maybe I'm crazy?

Either way, free bump for you.

Thanks for the bump.

Yes there are 4-6 sensors that you can cover with masking tape, only needed if you happen to have carpet with solid black lines. But then the Roomba will go off any steps so you need to block off the steps. At this point I would rather sell/trade the Roomba to someone who can appreciate it then go through any more domestic discussions. If I can't find a trade I will just Ebay it.

Roomba bump

Just bought an 870 for the wife this last Christmas. At first I was amazed at how well they clean.

Then I was disgusted after realizing how well they clean.

+2 for carpet, tile, and hardwood feeling qualitatively different after the first few days. -1 for making it apparent how poor I was doing with the Dyson.

Getting ready to eBay. I figure fair value used about $350. Looking to trade used video card around that amount.
