Finally, my old 4800 is feeling the pressure of my gaming. SWTOR is making the fan HOWL like a jet liner, and im having to turn down video settings and run at lower resolutions. Considering I got this thing when it was new, I got a LOT of life out of it! Thank you Xbox for crippling the PC game industry! You kept my video card alive much longer then it should of lived!
Time for me to move on. I work in 3D Studio's Max and Vray and want to play around with OpenCL GPU rendering, hence the need for 2GB. I dont care if its reference or not as I most likely wont be unlocking it, and I dont feel like paying extra. I wont discourage an unlocked 6950, but dont expect a lot of extra money for your 5 mins of time flashing the bios.
So how about $200 for a 2GB 6950? I know you have it sitting around after you got your nice 7950.
