What is a good swap file benchmark?

I just installed a 20 gig harddrive a separate IDE controller on my gaming rig ( in sig ) which i'm using solely for the swapfile and nothing else. I would like to test to see if i get any performance improvement over having the swap file on the same drive windows xp is installed on. Could anyone recommend a benchmark that tests swapfile performance?

there's nothign special about a swapfile, its just a file. Test the HDD for performance as you would any other drive.

I did something similar. I made a 2gb partition at the beginning of the disk and dedicated that to the pagefile (kinda like how linux does). Never got around to doing any tests.

Only thing you can really do is comparison tests..
