So here's the situation:
I work part time as a tech for a high speed company providing service to hotels.
75% of the time, when a guest calls with Vista, it says "unknown network, local connection only" which translates into "I'm not letting you onto the internet".
That's stupid enough. What's better is when Vista won't accept a DHCP response because it seemingly can't get outside the local network.
When you're looking at 169.254.*.* IPs in your billing tables (which are populated with 10.71.*.* normally from operating systems that actually work) you know you're having a *great* day.
How do you fix this shit?
