So I burned the latest Catalyst 7.2 drivers for 32-bit Vista onto a CD.

Installed Vista. Installed Catalyst. Reboot. Black screen. Can't do anything. Doesn't even make it to Windows User logon screen.

Rebooted in safe mode. Turns out I have a conflict with my card, which is odd, because i dont have much hooked up to this thing. Error Code 12 - This device cannot find any free resources to use. If you want to use this device, you must disable another device that is using the resources this device needs.

Checking the Resources tab in Device Manager shows that the resource type "Memory Range" settings are unavailable.

E0000000-EFFFFFFF not available.
FDCF0000-FDCFFFFF not available.

And I cant change them because the "Use automatic settings" checkbox and Change Setting button is faded out.

And I can't find anything in the BIOS to fix either. Only offers me options to change IRQ, I/O, and DMA settings. Not Memory Range.

However, upon installing XP and getting everything working, it shows the card using the exact same Memory Ranges.
So is MR something that the O/S determines, or the Catalyst drivers?
