I've been looking for a larger screen with a dot pitch >.28, 178° viewing angles and IPS based. I ran across this new screen today:
http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktop-monitors/lcd/pro-series/vp2655wb.htm
I have not seen any serious reviews, or even end customer comments.

I did a search in the forums and came up with no search results for this model. I believe it is a very new product on the market, which would explain the lack of info on the net.

I suspect it will have horrid input lag, but we can only hope. If anyone grabs one of these or finds one at a B&M, please chime in!

Thanks,
MG

Anyone got more info about this monitor?
Looks quite bright, barely needed connections and not sure about programmable LUT.

$1300 retail and $1000 on sale at buy.com or amazon. No thanks. I would rather spend that type of money on a 27" Dell that has a lot better resolution, the Viewsonic should be around $700 not $1000.

So anyone take a leap on this monitor? If it's decent on lag for gaming, it's not a bad price on amazon (~1000) for a 26" IPS panel at 1920x1200. I can't find reviews anywhere though.

$750 + S/H from B&H, a great retailer. 2% Bing cashback knocks another $15 off. Edit: sorry, this one is listed as used, but in perfect condition.

An IPS panel is likely to have less overall input lag than a VA panel, can't say for sure though.

whoa. great find. thanks. though the link for that price is for a used monitor; new is 917 (still good).

I second the Planar PX2611w.

I use it as a secondary monitor. Very low input lag (<8ms). They also have a reputation for very good customer service especially for thier PX series. My first monitor was a Planar PX191 back in 2002.

Any more opinions on this monitor? I´m also considering it but there is very little info on the web.
