id go with the asus because the samsung has a panel lottery, and the new ones from frys, manufacturd in january 2008 were all A panels, had severe backlight problems, and colors were washed out............if you want samsung, you are better off with the 2232bw, A, or S panel, both come pretty close to one another, unlike the 226bw.
