I just ordered an E8600.

I've never ordered, or even owned the top of the line anything at any time.

I'm pretty excited :D
 
That's how I felt when I picked up my E8400 when it was THE CPU to have, and nobody had em in stock. I took off work early and drove an hour and a half to microcenter to get it.

It was the first time I'd ever bought a brand new, current gen CPU

I know just how you feel, i'm about to get me an e8400. I know everyone has them but where I live i think i'll be one of the very few if any that has them i live in juarez and all my buddies are still rolling on p4's. So that makes me want to spank myself :p heheh
 
Felt the same with my QX6700(i am using it)

Had a Core 2 Duo E4400 before, but someone on TPU gave me the QX6700 for free!!
 
I just installed her. She's priming at 3800 at 1.3V.

This is pants-shittingly fast.
 
Thats really high for 3.8ghz. Most e8600s should be able to do 4.0ghz on stock vcore which on average right around 1.2vcore.
 
I haven't started tweaking voltages yet, I don't even know how high this board will even go yet. It's a whole new world. :p
 
And I don't like the new world!

I think I may need to replace the P5B. :(
