sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum.

I have a Corsair 620HX modular PSU
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139002
and a Antec P182 case.

I have 4 hdd installed in the lower cage and I need a sata power cable that is both neat and saves space and doesn't run into the fan. Hopefully I can connect this sata power cable directly to the modular connectors on the PSU.

I was searching around the mod section and found a picture of this

I will do the sleaving myself if neccessary. Can someone tell me where to buy it or an alternative?

Thanks alot. Last question does anyone know how many hard drives can one modular line from Corsair 620HX power? I am hoping it can power at least 4 hdds without problems

I was needing a replacement cable for my 520HX.
Originally, when I purchased the PSU a couple of years ago, all the SATA connectors only had 2 per cable. When I got the replacement cable, I was surprised to see 3 on one cable. That worked out great for me as I have 3 HDD's.
As far as how many per cable the PSU could handle, I couldn't tell you.
Does Yellowbeard hang out here?

I have an Enermax Pro82+ that has 4 sata on one cable, so I would guess a 620HX should be able to handle it.

buy one of these instead.

if you have never done the uni sleeving before, and dont have any of the stuff you need, get one of the above for now. the pic in your post, the fellow cut off all his molex or sata connectors, then sleeved the first 18 inches or so of the cable, put on 5 pieces of heatshrink, put on connector, heated the shrink, sleeved the next inch or 2 of cables, put on 10 pieces of heatshrink, put on the next connector, etc, etc. i have done this many times and it is still my least favorite part of sleeving a psu.

When I first saw those links, I had my hopes up that it would plug directly into my PSU. I guess with these they're more for looks if one can hide the majority of the 4-pin cable?

yes, more for looks. i am pretty sure you would have to make your own cables from modular psu completely from scratch, or modify existing psu sata cables, which is almost building them completely from scratch. i have never seen full uni sleeved cables for sale. many modular psu's use standard connectors to plug in on the psu end, ie 6 pin for pcie, 4 pin for molex, etc. you can buy all the connectors and wire that you need from performance pc. this way you wont be chopping up the cables that came with your power supply.

Thanks for the info.
It seems my SATA connectors on the cables are spaced about twice as far apart as they should be. Looks kinda sloppy.
I'll probably spend a ton trying to do this, but what the heck...u can't take it with you...hehehehe.

doesnt cost all that much, but does take time and effort. but end result is worth it, imo. when you start out, it seems like it takes forever to do eachcable correctly. but after a few you get the hang of it and are zipping thru them.

i was also looking into this for a raid setup

do you know if there is any 4 x sata data cables done the same?
the only ones i have found are the lian li cables but performance pcs dont sell em
