Samsung Magician

Shouldn't my Samsung 830 128MB be recognized by Magician? It shows a serial number but doesn't recognize a Samsung drive.

Did you buy it retail, or did it come included with a pre-built system? I've found OEM Samsung's to not work with Magician.

Have you updated your 830 to the latest firmware?

The manual for Magician says it works with ALL Samsung SSDs, so it should.

If the drive came in an HP or Dell system, Magician will not support it because there is a custom firmware on the drive for those computers. I know because we use Dell systems here at work and they all have Samsung 128GB 830's in them and Magician will not recognize them.

I bought it online as a new drive but can't recall if it was retail, so its possible it came from an OEM system, however I don't recall that.
I tend to avoid the special OEM versions.
If I recall, previous Magician versions saw the SSD, but maybe I'm confused (5 systems).
@ mavrocket - I will check using this link - since M didn't work.
