I just recently moved into a new place, and we have digital cable here. In the living room, we have a DVR so I have my main tower PC (specs in sig) and my HTPC both in my room. Having both PCs running all the time makes a lot of heat in the room. I would prefer not to have them both going
What I would really like to be able to do is to move my TV tuner card into my main tower, then run the HDMI connection from my 9800GX2 to my TV, and anytime I want to watch TV I could just do so on the television, and when I wanted to do computing, I could just use the monitor.
Is this kind of setup possible? Or does outputting on the HDMI not work once you have the DVI plugged in to a monitor also?
