PrimeGrid's 2023 Challenge Series

Off and running. I'm only going to run a couple systems and at 70%. 110 here pretty much daily.

It's ok here but not 110F (80 - 90F in afternoon). Trying to avoid turning on the AC so just run one 3060 Ti with 110W power limit.

Edit: badge turns from bronze to silver just now.

We're doing pretty good. Day one down and only a GPU or two out of top ten.

We moved up one spot. Starting from tomorrow, it will be 90+ here.

Yea, I added a little extra the last 24 hrs to move past a SETI.Germany user.

Your highs are close to our lows.

Overt the half way mark and we are still in 10th. We could take 9th from Rechenkraft.net with a little push but, have to watch being overtaken by SETI.USA. Positions 9-11 are close.

Team is now at 9th. RFN main contributor (N0vas) is currently offline and may turn back on starting this Fri evening (Sat morning in EU) at least according to a post in PG discord.

I switched from 3060 Ti to 3070 Ti on the second half of the first day of the race. I already have VII on einstein, so it's already hot in the house. At least my output is stable and predictable. No bunkering this time.

Not bad for a team of three people. I ran one undervolted 3070 Ti card (140W) in this race though the card is rated 290W.

10 Days until the next challenge. 3 days and any system can run it.

Getting a very late start and probably won't complete anything but SOB it is...

Its not impressive in any way but at least I'm on the board..lol

We managed 19th in this one. Long CPU tasks. I only had a couple systems running.

Next challenge starts around Halloween.

I just setup a budget 7950x system. Ran two ESP LLR tasks this morning.

At a fixed 4.2GHz, 0.92Vcore (no PBO, ECO or CO setting as I don't use them for DC) with manual undervolting/underclocking via BIOS, power draw from the wall as measured by kill-a-watt is 155W. No discrete gpu installed as the igpu takes care of the video display.

Run time about 20,600 seconds with full 8 cores running for each task in Windows. Two tasks running concurrently.

I really need to do some seasonal maintenance with cleaning my rigs. PG is really hard on them these days compared to the past...

At least we made an improvement from 19th in previous challenge to 14th ;)

The last challenge is suited best for gpu.

Time to bring out and turn on the space heaters, lol.

For those that don't know it is only the work from the below sub projects
GFN-18
GFN-19
GFN-20
And yes GPU's will be king here.

2 days and 2 hours until start. This challenge lasts for ~10 days.

Turning off the F@Hcet and I'll start these WU's when I get home. I might run some single card WU's on a test bench just to see how they compare. I did a couple of the 18's on the A770 a couple days ago.

Still a week left.

Given there isn't much interest in this challenge, I'll likely not worry about it next year. Maybe if they align with the projects I want to contribute, but, not in general.

Seems most team action is at F@H. I'll likely lay low in 2024.

I'm noticing PG becoming to stressful on some of my rigs so I have to cut back on it quite a bit compared to some other projects.

Halfway through the last challenge of the year. Still time to add a GPU or two and make an impact for the team.

Added my GPU to it. I was using a heater anyways so I just turned it off and now the GPU is taking it's place.

Cant remember where the app config file is or if I made one in linux only and not windows.
