Preparing for a new build - sound booth system

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
This computer is going to be used for recording directly from a 24 channel sound board, editing and converting the audio, serving playlists back to the board, and to drive a set of twin projectors.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$2500 inc. tax and shipping

3) Where do you live?
East TN

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc.
CPU, mainboard, memory, hard drives, video card, sound card, power supply, case

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?
LG CD/DVDRW, dual Epson 3000 lumens projectors (wireless)

6) Will you be overclocking?
No

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
24" - 27"

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
We hope to have the finished product in place no later than May 31.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard?
RAID support is a plus, but we can get a card if need be; eSATA; anything else recommended for this project.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license?
Yes, Windows 7 x64 Home Premium

We hope to have the finished product in place no later than May 31.

Ok that doesn't help us or you. That answer is pretty vague as to when exactly you're gonna be building/buying the PC.

Well just to get this out of the way, if your build/purchase date is after the end of this month, I recommend that you wait 2-3 weeks before your actual build/purcahse date to ask for hardware advice. Parts recommended today can be out of stock, overpriced, outperformed, outdated, or out of style in a month let alone two.

However if your build date is before the end of this month, let us know and we'll get started on a build list.
