I recently aquired/borrowed 2 230 volt fans from a friend, how would you go about powering these? Would they need resisters to drop the current or could they just be hotwired into the PSU or what?

naw I was thinking more along the lines of splicing it into the 230 volt cable coming from the wallsocket into the PSU ;) somewhere in the PSU of course

easiest method is to cut up one power cord, and use a barrier strip to reattatch the cable end to the cord and to hook your fans up to. If you want to buy a replacement cord the cost comes out to about $5-6.

ok, that sounds good. I wasn't sure if I needed a resister to prevent burnout, or any other special stuff. Could I use a relay setup like water pumps use and have it attached to my PSU internally?
