OC'ing 8800GTS 640mb help

so i installed Ntune and when i goto up the speeds i set the mem to 1000 and the core to 594. it will apply just fine, however if i try to raise the core to 600 when i hit apply it just says 594. why am i getting stuck at 594. i see alot of other people posting there cores at like 620+. do i need to up some voltage or something?
 
I have used AtiTOOL to OC my GTS to 600/900 succesfully. However I have heard somewhere that the 8800 cards actually increase clocks in steps, so I'm not 100% sure that I actually get 600MHz exactly...

Edit: I shoud mention that I have gotten the core up to 620 after I installed the ThermalRight HR-03+ on my card but the increase in output from 600 to 620MHz is so incremental that I have returned to my previous 600MHz. :)
 
Yep, try clocking it at 620 and you'll have 620.
Your 594 is basically 600.
 
my gts 320 will do 660/950 stock cooler no problem i use rivatuner to oc my card and it only applys the oc when i run 3d appz. which is nice. but i just run it at 620/900
