newegg "amd vision" supercombo deal

It's a decent deal, but I'm sure that someone (with a lot more patience that I have right now) could come along and build you something a bit better for around the same price.

It's fine for light gaming and "general use," but for VMWare, I'd recommend a tri-core or a quad-core and at least 4GB of RAM to minimize any performance loss while running multiple VMs.
 
It's not bad at all but it's kind of average. It would be a nice upgrade if you've been on the same machine for a few years.

 
Awesome... thanks for the helpful suggestions posted so far! Is DDR3 basically the way to go these days?
 
DDR2 prices look to never fall again and DDR3 being the same price. Its the better option.
