Has there been a fix found for low PPD on 2nd GPU. It's low even if I run it by itself without 1st GPU running, Card is Bios overclocked. Usually gets 4500 PPD by itself. Added it as a second GPU now it gets 2400 PPD. Any idea's?

I didn't heard about a fix so I cannot comment on this :(

I have a free slot beside a GTX 260 and I would like to put a cheap card there. Due to that issue, I'm holding on this for now.

i have the same problem, 8800GTX and a 8800GS, the GS in the second PCI slot gets 2500PPD,

It's fine for now, 2500PPD is still good,

Fixed by moving lowest shader clock speed card to slot next to northbridge and put fastest in bottem slot. I can change in bios to boot to fastest card under chipset options and move my flatpanel conector to that card when I want to game.

I fixed this problem in my GPU boxen (9800gx2 with a 8800GT) buy getting another 9800GX2.

This however might not be an option for everyone.

So what GPUs play nice together? Is it only G92, ie. 8800 GT, 8800 GTS 512 and the 8800GS that work well together, or do even they have problems?

Also I should clarify, the reason I'm asking is that I have an 8800GTS 512 (G92) system with a free x16 slot and I'm trying to plan what to throw in there when I have some cash. 8800GTS 512's don't go on sale much so I was leaning towards the 8800GS for the lack of whine, or an 8800GT.

I got my 8800 GTS (G92) 512mb and my 8800 GTS (G80) 640 mb to run together.
Just had to put the G80 in 1st PCI-E slot.
