Looking for cheap beige case to butcher.

I want something, with somewhat thick sides, that I can paint and cut up if the desire hits me. The cheaper the better. Links to reputable sites would be above and beyond.

MrDude, do you have experience with that one? I had considered it, but was afraid it'd crumble after a few assembly/disassembly processes.

It doesn't have to be beige. I used that term to imply cheap.

I have done builds with a couple of the $20-$30 rosewill cases from newegg. For a cheap steel case they are very sturdy. The frame is the same on most of them just the side panels and front are different. I would take a look at them and see if there is one you like.
