I have a older-ish server I am working on that needs a raid card. It had a PERC 4DC raid card in it that went bad. The server itself does not have a built in raid card (why? Dell why?) so I am trying to find a replacement raid card for the internal drives.
The server has full length pci-x slots only, and runs server 2008 x32.
I have tried a old HP raid card, but it would only support a 4gb boot partition.
I don't care for LSI raid cards because I have had a few of them fail before this one, but I am looking for anything right now that will work.
Anyone know of a good scsi raid card that will support server 2008?

I assume you are not worried at all about recovering data on any array that was on the old raid card?

Nope, nothing of value was lost except the OS.

I thought about getting another PERC 4DC but I am hesitant about buying another LSI card.
