Is there a list somewhere that lists all folding projects only available with BigAdv enabled?

My google-fu is failing me.

edit:

Also, do I put BigAdv or -BigAdv in FAHcontrol to be eligible for bigadv projects?

You can look in the official project summary

http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html

Check for the big number of atoms and you find
8101 128.143.231.201 ha_formarta 1340422 2.40 4.00 22607.00 100 GRO_A5 Description kasson 49.43

Thanks for the link.

What is the number of atoms that qualifies for BigAdv, then? Is it a million atoms?

(in the extra core options in the Experts tab in FAHcontrol)

IF this is v7 (which it sounds like it is) then you would exclude the '-'

what OS are you running?

You should really be running the fahinstall script then. There's a How to in the guide section.

Yeah, but doesn't that run FAH v6? I wanted v7 across all of my clients so I can have a standard FAHcontrol and HFM access configuration.

edit:

As soon as I added these settings I grabbed an 8105. :D

whatever floats your boat

ppd would be greater with fahinstall (v6 + kraken + ramdisk + more)

HFM works perfectly with [H] v6 setup (be it fahinstall or appliance).

All you need to do is figure out IP address of your machine and then
point your (Windows) HFM to a legacy client at \\ip.address\fah.

User-friendly control interface is in the works. Though I will ask --
how often do you control your dedicated folders? And, when you
do control them, what do you do, specifically?

Plus, what bigted already mentioned, fahinstall/appliance setup yields
visibly more output compared to plain v7.

Seriously? Meh.

Honestly? Now that everything is settled, not much. It seems that for the last week or so I was pumping the pedals a lot to get HFM continuously updating to my web server and it seemed that clients were dropping out of it a lot (as well as from FAHcontrol).

I'm going to let things run as-is until probably after the holidays, but I might have the energy after Christmas to yank out v7 on my BigAdv machine and do the scripted install.

Wow. So I just finished my first BigAdv WU, a 8105, and I see from the log file that it took two hours from the time the last unit finished to the time the next one started.

I see what you mean about the potential for all of the scripted install tweaks to add to output. I'll definitely be checking it out after the holidays.

what is your upload speed?

langouste allows you to download a fresh WU while current WU is uploading, just takes a little bit of setup (hint: there are guides for this too :))
