KVM problems

I broke down and bought a 4 port KVM switch (KYS-104) and it works fine on 3 computers but I can't get it to work on one (The MB is a MSI-K9N). I have tried swapping ports and cables and the only part I can get to work is the monitor. Has anybody had this problem? Any suggestions to try to remedy it? I am using a standard PS2 keyboard and mouse and cannot even use the keyboard to get into the bios (del key at boot up) The keybuard and mouse work fine if I plug them in strait.

I had a problem on a linux box that wouldn't recognise a ps2 mouse. Is this a linux box? Might be just a system setting.

It is a Linux box but I cannot get into the BIOS either and that should have nothing to do with the OS. And if I plug the same Keyboard and mouse strait into the computer (bypassing the KVM) it works fine.

I had a box once which would just not see the PS2 mouse. Windows there.
