This is so sexist! Why can't guys get $16 an hour to sit around in a bikini top and play video games? I demand equality! :D All joking aside, anyone that knows anything about video game streamers knows why this is a thing. :(

The comments are good on the article web site. They are prodding the author to do a Skype-interview ... in a bikini-top.

Supply and demand. I see nothing wrong with this. I mean its 30k a year to wear a bikini and play video games if you are attractive and have a nice personality. You even get health benefits after 90 days so its a legit job. If its all above board and you fill out a W4, I don't see the problem.

Mia Rose during one of her live streams hired a random Craigslist sex worker to meet up and play video games on her stream. It was a Black lady that actually knew the games she was playing pretty well. Mia Rose told her about her past as an Adult Film starlet and they hit it off really well on camera.

Eh... some not so pretty and/or overweight chick should apply then sue the living fuck out of them for discrimination.

Every time I turn on twitch I hear my wife from the next room "why is there a stupid whore on the screen?"....Me:"I'm watching to see if this is a fun game?"

I don't get why anyone would even want to sit there and watch someone else play a game. Especially an annoying, over the top person. Let alone pay someone to do it.

I'd agree, except if I were hiring, I'd probably hire a fat chick with a nice personality to do the same job because people would watch her too. Some people like fat chicks. I've got a friend that's never dated a woman that weighed less than 250-300lbs. in the 10 years I've known him. That's just what he likes and he's far from being unique on that front.

I don't get it, but some people are into plus sized women.

I don't think so, otherwise how would Hooter's stay in business? Or Actors? There is some kind of "entertainment" thing where you have to be a certain look.

Sometimes it's nice to have someone to split a box of doughnuts with :)

You also don't have to eat at places that sell expensive rabbit food, or hear them complain every time they gain a couple ounces.

And so nice to come home to her and netflix with some beer instead of finding something to do while you wait for her to come home from the gym. Hell, it is nice to have someone to drink beer with and appreciates good beers instead of just one miller light to watch her calories. Yea, can't go back to that.

Now I want donuts....

I have a gym in the house, we work out together, and I'll never go back to being fat. (Still somewhat fat, but recovering nicely.)

They rarely enforce this 'rule'.
Actually they still do, ive been on channels where i have reported girls dressing like that and they have been banned. Not saying i dont like looking at girls in bikinis but when they sucks balls at the game and dont even try and just use twitch as a soft core porn cam site to get money it irks me.

AFAIK, there are guys streaming games on youtube making much more money than that.

Lets avoid the giving the Kotakui sexism clickbait/trollbait hits as Armenius mentions, but I have to wonder... Its disappointing to see people starting this kind of business. I fully admit I'm not up on the particulars of the streaming scene, but if someone wants to see girls in bikini tops playing video games, there are already a ton of streamers who fill that niche aren't there? Hell, I remembered when Twitch.tv instituted a rule restricting streaming with not just nudity but also had other rules, if I recall. Shouldn't this market be more or less at critical mass, and certainly not where someone can run a business that will realistically make enough money to justify even a modest, $30K salary? The more troubling aspect to me however is the fabricated, faux interest in gaming. I always found it insulting when business pandered sex to gamers with the assumption they're all a bunch of drooling basement-dweller stereotypes, but it is even worse in my opinion to create "fake gamer girl" personas (Think Olivia Munn on G4) with only the thinnest veneer of gaming interest/knowledge. Its painfully transparent, and has evolved a stereotype of its own that both hardcore gamers (of both genders) and the cloying "PC" movement adherents should dislike, for different reasons.

Its bad enough watching a "Gamer GURL!!!~~*kisses*" type streaming focused on their body instead of the game, but at very least its at that particular woman's discretion. Its even worse when there's an industry fabricating the entire character from the beginning, as it violates what was supposed to be what set streaming apart from other sorts of media - "reality". Very disappointing no matter what - and yes, I'd feel exactly the same way about hiring "the right kind of" man, damn his interest in gaming, to play shirtless or in bulge-defining undergarments.

The ad is simply requesting "lady" not "genetically female". Some intrepid males should take them up on this, tranny or not.

is one of the requirements a chair that continually bounces up and down?

For every 'one' small-time streamer you get banned, there are 10 more like Kacetron still doing their same schtick. So while the rule is 'enforced', it's equivalent to jaywalking.

If you are hot and can get paid to sit around and play video games in your underwear... good for you. I'm still going to laugh when 5 or 10 years later you are out of work, out of looks, and don't know why anyone will hire you with a resume that says "ex hot girl that played video games 1/2 naked"

I'm on the fence about the level of sad - the girl doing it, or the guys that pay money to watch.

Well in kaceytrons defense all she really shows is the top of her tits and then when chat gets spammed with it shell cover up. But yeah she knows what shes doing and so does twitch, but since she pulls in tons of viewers they wont do anything.

I don't like those videos. Get out of the way, I want to see the game full screen. Thanks.

Oh, yea. Can you shut up so I can hear it? Thanks.

Ah, pass the controller, it's my turn.

Agreed! Play the game. :D

I like to watch friends (or my kids for that matter) play games, but in those cases, I still feel like part of the experience. Watching other people play them via video stream is retarded. (Yes, that's my opinion, and feel free to disagree.) That said, there are a few classic "Long Play" videos that I've enjoyed. But those don't have some idiot in the corner. They're just the game, and I only enjoy watching for a few minutes a game that I've played in the past (maybe a C64 or NES game or the like) that I won't get around to playing again any time soon.

Watching other people play video games is about the dumbest shit I've ever heard of, but if I had to do it I'd rather it be an attractive woman than some greasy neckbeard.

Eh... some not so pretty and/or overweight chick should apply then sue the living fuck out of them for discrimination.

Cute that you think it works that way. I wonder why we still have titty mags, escort services, and strip clubs if that were the case? Surely some land whale would have just applied then "sued the living fuck out of them" by now?

Unless she is ugly no female would consider doing this for a measly 30k. Any decently attractive female could make this by the month while being shit at the game wearing a bikini.

They tried to make her a actress afterwards and it was about the same results. When that didn't work they tried a sex tape, it also was unsatisfying. Poor girl just couldn't win. She had the looks, just not much else.

Should I shave my chest when I submit my photo with the application or just leave the hair on?

Who here wants to see Steve playing games on any streaming site in this get-up? (Sorry, had to) :p

I think the donators are more sad. The girl stream knows exactly what shes doing and who her audience is and acts upon it. Its pretty smart actually, just like cam models. Its the forever alones that donate money just to say something to her or get her to say their name that are sad. Actually donating period on twitch is stupid when people like summit1g get like $10,000 donations. They already make tons of subscribers which is another waste of money because all you get are sub icons and emotes and you are not affected by slow mode and can talk when its sub only mode. people like summit1g and timthetatman have like ~8000 subs which they get 2.49 a month per sub, that means on subs alone they average about 19k a month...plus donations. I watch their streams from time to time but i will never sub, donate or even follow because its retarded. These youtube stars and twitch stars make way too much money for what they do, cant say im a little jealous.

I swear. Being a hot women = life on easy mode.
Get paid to sit there and play video games..and not even well.

Nvgrim - With regards to Twitch streams I'm not horribly familiar. When you say "subs" do you mean that the streamers get cash for those who subscribe to their channel to be notified of new content (youtube style) or for views etc...? Or do you mean the Twitch "Turbo" subscription option? I was under the impression that Turbo subs were site wide and thus couldn't be attributed to a certain streamer etc... unless of course there was some sort of affiliate link system that users had to click on and/or sign-up while watching - but of course, that could only be one per month at most (or If a user subscribes while watching me, then resubs automatically every month, do I get paid even if they never watch me again?). Or is there some kind of individual subscription on top of the site-wide Turbo? If so, it seems that Twitch is really milking this for all its worth! So on top of that, there are donations? People donate to male streamers (to which they're not attracted) for...what exactly in return? I could understand if it was at least partially charity related and I can at least understand the "forever alones paying someone attractive to say your name / write your name on a sign etc..", but I am curious what they're getting out of it otherwise.

So those streamers you mention who have a huge following - what makes them so popular? What do they offer different than the multitude of other guys playing games, to the point they make that kind of money?
