To make a long story as short as possible, I just got to college and bought a 22" LCD TV. I now miss my desktop computer too much and I am bringing it next semester. However, will the TV work with gaming? Here's a link:

The native res is 1680 x 1050 on it.

I will play source games just fine with my quad core, 8800gtx but I don't know how Crysis will run.

Also I have heard about using HDMI. Should I use that instead of this:

1680x1050 is probably IMO the best 16:10 resolution for games, what I mean is, its still a high enough resolution so games look "nice" but at the same time it isn't so high that your system will struggle playing at that resolution. As far as will the tv work with gaming you should have no problems, it has a 6ms response time which is plenty fast for gaming.

Also the cable in that image is a VGA cable which is for analog signals, you're better off getting a DVI cable and an HDMI to DVI adapter, all HDMI is, DVI quality video and Optical quality audio all on one cable.

VGA cables are generally better for response times than DVI or HDMI. So if you are going to mostly be gaming, use a VGA.
