HIS 4650 - no more drivers - Can I use standard AMD drivers?

I have a HIS HD4650 video card. Unfortunately, HIS does no longer publish updated drivers for this model. Can I use standard AMD drivers/sw? I recall that I once did that and run into some issues...

great. Do I need to do the full uninstall first or do I ave a chance by over installing?

The safest way to do this is to make a restore point and then unistall the drivers you have also using "Driver Sweeper" to clean any left over drivers to interfere. Then install the standard AMD drivers. This way if the AMD drivers give you problems, You can restore back to what you have now.
