Help with a memory purchase

Looking at a 16GB (2x8) kit to put with my 8700K and eventually with a Ryzen 2700x.

Debating between these 2 kits: Both are on sale now at new-egg. I like the 3600 speed of the SniperX but those latencies worry me. Thoughts?

I would get CAS 14 at 3200. Not sure about the Sniper X. Check out what reviewers report as far as Ryzen compatability.

There are a couple of the X470 high end motherboards that support 3600 O/C, but most mid & lower priced boards only support up to 3200. Decide after you choose the mobo and check the approved memory list!
As gigaxtreme1 said 3200 CAS 14 is probably best way to go!

Wow, Newegg does have a smoking deal on that Sniper X though. Probably get it to run at 3200 but don't know about CAS 14.

Thanks for the posts. I do think I will hold out for a CAS14 at 3200. In Kyle's latest review, he used GSKILL SniperX 3400 with CAS 16 (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232727) and it sounded pretty good. I was originally thinking I was gonna go with a 16GB 3200 kit, but saw these kits on sale. I'm about to slap together a Ryzen system, but in the meanwhile I want some better memory in my current desktop.
