Google Details Electricity Usage of Its Data Centers

Google just has to find a river on google earth, buy the patch of land around it, floor hundreds of square miles of good riverbed farmland, and build their own dam!

Voila! 100% renewable energy, and enough to power 200% of their operations, no biggie really.

260 megawatts is impressive for their size. I have a sneaking suspicion Bing uses more than that yeah just Bing not all of the other MS stuff just Bing.

I think google has a data center in Iceland being geothermal powered. MS may be doing or at least considering the same.

Consider that there are single data centers that use as much as Google does across all of theirs. That is what I find impressive.

That is TRUELY a Google sized project! Now just have to go buy off a few countries, shouldn't be too hard..
