I am looking to invest in a new monitor, primarily for video production/editing work, so color accuracy is important to me, and secondarily used for games. I would prefer it to be 4K/UHD, since the footage I work with is 4K. High refresh rate is of no concern to me, nor is freesync or gsync. It should be at least 27", and can be as large as 43" (I know a lot of you are using TVs as monitors).

As for budget, cheaper the better. $300 would be great. Refurb/used is fine as well to keep cost down. All suggestions and discussion welcome!

I'm looking for the same thing,my old system is showing it's age and I'm planning to get a new one as soon as the new 2080 cards are available and need a new monitor to take advantage of it.

if you want anything bigger youll need to up you price a bit. but I found these, one is lower and a couple higher that $300:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-H277HK-...36006922&sr=8-8&keywords=4k+monitor+sRGB&th=1 100% sRGB ignore low ratings from mac edioots.
https://www.amazon.com/MG28UQ-28-In...id=1536006922&sr=8-6&keywords=4k+monitor+sRGB 94% sRGB 3tr warranty with free x-shipping.

tvs with good color accuracy start at ~$350 and 43" and im not sure about using them for video editing, that's playback.

Some TVs like the TCL have full 11 point white balance and color space adjustment, so you have infinite flexibility to tweak to your liking, if you have a color calibrator.
