I just received a brand new H80 from corsair RMA. My original one had "THE" pump noise issue so I had to request a replacement. During the RMA downtime, I installed a conventional air cooler and really don't feel like swapping that one out as winter has dropped ambient temps.
The H80 is still sealed in plastic, I do not believe it to be a refurb. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181016 )
