I used this powersupply to run 4x 7970's for mining and it's always worked perfect. I have receipts and box from purchase at newegg on 12/17/2013.
Update: I've dropped the price immensely! This thing is essentially the best money could buy costing 300$!!!! Even if you only need 1000w this would make a great choice (just because it says 1600w doesn't mean it uses 1600w, power demand is based on the equipment being powered) and it gives you room to add high powered video cards later.
