What is a good alternative to Procurve Manager that is free or not as expensive?
The best feature of PCM (IMO) is the find node ability. Being able to give PCM a IP or MAC and it can find out out what port on what switch it is connected to is great. I definitely want that ability in something else.
Basic switch stats like error logging, performance, port status, etc I also want. For compatibility we are all HP switches. If it can read our Juniper / Cisco routers that would be nice, but not needed. We have 65 switches that I want to manage. (This is why I am looking at something other than PCM, due to having to buy a 50 node license, then a 100 node upgrade just for a few more nodes.)
Anyone got any recommendations, or should I bit the bullet and get PCM?
