For $110... do you think this would be an improvement over my Klipsch Promedia 4.1's when paired with a entry-level (refurbished) receiver?

Thanks. I got them home and quietly confirmed that they work. Tomorrow I will be turning up the volume to see how they sound on a borrowed receiver. So far they seem pretty nice considering the $110 price tag.

I still need to buy a receiver. I've been looking at:

For a small room (10'x11') with the speakers sitting on my desk (and behind me) would room correction have a significant impact?

I wouldn't worry too much about room correction. It can help but it won't be night/day.

I'd look at Denon's and Onkyo's refurbs as well. Direct from them.

I compared the Denon 1613 and the Yamaha V375 (features and audio quality) side-by-side and ended up going with the Yamaha. Thanks for the input everyone.
