It won't work with 64-bit OSs, except maybe in a VM. The results aren't too great. I posted my results in the free stuff forum RA thread.

It also says if you have Vista to look around there are ways to make it work.

I almost think the trouble that you will take to make it work on Vista 64 you will be disappointed with the result. 800x600 looks very ugly on a 24" screen and you want to play something else anyway. Classic game yes, but I don't think it will take too long before you stop playing and thank God that the graphics are so much better these days.

red alert hasn't aged nearly as well as starcraft. i played it a while back, after having great childhood memories, and it was disheartening

So play it in a window. The gameplay is still solid.
