I'm looking at a cheap E-350 system to drive a 27" digital sign. It's 2560x1440 resolution, and I'm curious if a Radeon 6310 supports dual-link DVI and can drive a display of this size. I don't care about 3D performance at this res, just 2D. Anyone know if this config works?

From the AMD Website for 6310:

Cutting-edge integrated display support
Dual-link DVI with HDCP13
Max resolution: 2560x160014
DisplayPort 1.1
Max resolution: 2560x160014
HDMI® 1.4a with Stereoscopic 3D Frame Packing Format, Deep Color, xvYCC wide gamut support, and high bit-rate audio
Max resolution: 1920x120014
VGA
Max resolution: 2048x153614

Just make sure the motherboard you buy has a dual link DVI or display port. IT does support it.

What are yo using the E-350 for? I had one with a 64GB SSD that worked great except for Silverlight... being a giant Netflix geek, I couldn't stand not having HD, so sold the setup. I've read the E-450 CPU still isn't powerful enough for Netflix. If it was Flash, it'd be fine.

1080p MKV's and Blu Rays worked perfect.

Considering it for digital signs. If we go with 2560x1440 screens, we need to choose the PCs carefully. AFAIK, there's no embedded GPUs with DisplayPort so DL DVI is what we'd need.

I guess I should have looked at the boards.

Although the APU supports it according to AMD, I don't see any boards that have a dual link DVI port.

Still looking around as now you have me curious.
