I have a problem - antiglare coated monitors give me bad eyestrain (I am very sensitive to constant shimmering on white/blue backgrounds that the coating creates).
For a few years now I have gotten around the problem by using 2x NEC 20WMGX2 monitors at home and AL2051W Acers at work. They worked great for me, because of glossy polarizers and IPS (NEC) and MVA (Acer) panels. However, right now the NECs are showing their age - there is nasty splotching developing on random spots on the screens (and warranty is long over).
Which bring me to a current problem. All the IPS/MVA monitors that I can find use antiglare coated panels, which are completely unusable for me.
Are there any glossy paneled IPS/MVA monitors available right now which fall in the 24-30" category? I am willing to pay more just to NOT have the antiglare polarizer. Please no TN panels.
