According to a job opening at blizzard there seems to be something brewing could it be nr 4?
Something to keep an eye out for.

No kidding. Just send Chris Wilson on over. He'll get that shit figured out REAL quick. /s
I think path of exile is a better game over all. That being said, I will never forget the first time I fought Belial.
Let's see what they are cooking in their new projects, there are very high hopes with D4 or any new expansion.
Nothing there to prove it isn't just another expansion. Diablo 3 of today is vastly different than Diablo 3 when it released. Having said that, I think even if Blizzard did actually make Diablo 4 I think it would have a real hard time selling as well as D3 did. I think many people think 2012 Diablo 3 when they hear Diablo anything now and are immediately turned off.

Better game in YOUR opinion, in mine while it has some design elements that make it "interesting" and moments of "this is cool" to outright call is a "better game" fk that noise IMOJust play Path of Exile.
It’s a better game and it’s free.

D3 looks "pretty enough" IMHO, and at least the laser light show graphics that PoE has prioritized when it screws the games performance single player and especially multiplayer
(direct example, labyrinth, all it takes is a lag session and you get kicked out of game OR instantly die, yay lost a key fkers lol)
Sorry but no way in hell is PoE "the better game" different, absolutely, interesting, for sure, better, mehhh that is a brand preference more than one is superior to the other, each have their own design bonuses or detriments.
really really depends on YOUR hardware, just because you have an Intel version X Nvidia version Y or AMD version Z does not automatically mean it will play like a champ (whereas in D3 the hardware being used very much helps or hinders)
Blizzard did at least put some proper effort (vs just throwing it in there just because) in regards to the cpu-gpu-ram loading with whatever fancy extra effects they use, PoE devs built the game on the engine used which was and is single core derived,
(effectively all the sound, physics etc all nail a single core, not always a good thing for high FPS butter smooth play) they bolted some ability for multi-core
(same with DX10-11) but was not built for them exclusively or they would have to rebuild the game ground up, yep, that is unlikely to happen.
More PoE devs have added, the more they try to add, the more they try and fix turned into a "what the hell did they do" "was working well enough last patch before all this BS tinkering that helped nothing"
D3 has been (after the first couple of months) nothing but awesome gameplay FOR ME, NO PROBLEMS, NO LAG, NO STUTTER, multiplayer or single player.
absolutely cannot have ever said such with PoE, unless just sitting in town, or playing as single player with not many folks online/in town, playing the same map/location over and over (for at most an hour or so,
which is not very fun unless you are doing this grind on purpose) until VRAM gets full not purge, performance tanks.
a game built for single core chips should not have any noticeable problem with a "modern enough" cpu (Phenom II 955 OC to above 980 levels) gpu (radeon 7870 overclocked) 8gb system ram, SSD etc
D3 runs like a dream on this (as do many higher scale games than PoE could dream about being, e.g BF3-4 BF1, Grim Dawn etc)
----------------------------------------------------
--------------------------
good looking game that performs well is what sells, adding in that fancy tree is AWESOME, but, if it has to be an "always online" and lag (especially when swapping maps, new locations or whatever)
VRAM not purge properly leads to a very much less than should be "fun experience" ..also again IMO, while I think player controlled currency system while "interesting" has all kinds of problems
with a bunch of greed or screwing people over because of it.
I kind of prefer a simpler "get gold, sell for gold, buy with gold" ^.^
my opinion, I thought PoE was "cool" in its own way, and Diablo should have added some of what PoE has and vice versa, but to say one is "better" nah,
might as well just say that Ford is always better than GM HAHAHA (it is opinion, everyone has one, just like an A hole )
either way what both PoE, Diablo and pretty much all games should be doing is IF always online type connection, cool, but at least dont screw the player when your server boots them,
or the "lag" is too much for the connection to handle and the player dies because of it and loses something that may have taken them forever to get. it is not always the players fault like PoE devs try and claim time and time again.
(such as in a season run D3 took an hour or so to get the run lined up and bang goes the connection or PoE and labyrinth where you have to burn a key to enter it, little bit of lag and a trap kills you, work potentially another hour or so crap lag to get another key, likely deal with nasty lag/stutter dealing with a party full of other people killing performance with all that nasty special effect crap to get a key quicker)
Grim Dawn is a pretty good game with a dev that CARES about the players experience and is willing/wanting to HEAR about it (and do what they can to fix it as best as they are able)
PoE devs do not give a crap about potential problems, known issues etc, they just pretend
"everything is perfect, dont like it GTFO" (playerbase seems to have same baseline mentality, play it, or fk off)
Blizzard unfortunately goes to the beat of their own drum, let them know problems, they will at least listen and maybe do something about it (eventually)
Perfect response. I found myself saying "no" after every line, so a single "no" is sufficient.

If I am not wrong they are hiring new people for Diablo project which means we may not get cartoonish graphics or pathetic visuals but new ideas which can be fruitful.Basically, this. I wanted a new Diablo game. Not WoW graphics toonplay. If I wanted that, I'd just go play Torchlight. I almost get them building a game that will scale fairly well on older hw, to increase the sales base, but doing a grand disfavor to your loyal fanbase, and shitting on a franchise, well, that's pretty much what I expect from Blizzard these days. It's a huge reason why I don't support them as devs anymore. It's all about the cash, and putting out lackluster games. Gone are the days of D2 and W3..
Warcraft 3 remaster? Link?I wouldn't be surprised if it was a D1 or D2 remaster.
They already did SC and are working on Warcraft 3

We don't know if they are or are not. This is speculation based on the fact an update was released for WC3 back in February that made it run on modern systems along with widescreen support, in a similar fashion Blizzard did with the original StarCraft prior to announcing and releasing StarCraft Remastered.Warcraft 3 remaster? They had a job posting that mentioned it and have been open about the desire to update multiple classic gamesWe don't know if they are or are not. As much as I want D4 I think this is more likely. D3 was a travesty. Especially in the beginning. That auction house that the game was designed around was fucking terrible. Console players had a better experience! What a slap in the face. Worse yet they gave diablo boobs..You take prolly the most bad ass villian in the history of gaming and neuter him? Lets also be real here for a minute, Cain deserved better than some thrown together at the last minute bullshit ending. Tyrial was also half baked I thought. The story totally fell apart after act 1 for me and by the end I was truly sad. Not for what happened to any of the characters, but for what happened to one of the best IP's of all time. It was a sign of the times for me.
I felt / feel, the same way. It was a total disgrace. What they did to Cain really pissed me off. But I guess that's what happens to a company that's bought out by a company that only wants to make money off of a award winning brand.
Hellgate: London was better.
None of Blizzard's stories are particularly strong or coherent. Generally they're all convoluted.
In other words, two things: Activision had nothing to do with it. And 2, you need to not let Blizzard off the hook. Because they as a developer clearly didn't know why they were successful with D1/D2 when they made D3.
For all it's problems, I personally had a blast playing that game. It had some great 'oh shit, that thing is GIGANTIC WTF' moments. It needed more polish, and time. Iirc, the paid stuff they added on was pretty cool, but too little, too late. Damned shame, if you ask me. Evoker for life!
