Deus Ex: Mankind Divided STEAM PC $10 or less

Good game, I got a lot of playtime out of it and it has NG+ as well.

Thanks. Been waiting for this to get to a price around this.

Thanks OP. Wanted this on release day, but knew it would eventually drop this low somewhere.

I've used them plenty of times and they activate perfectly fine on steam. Seems legit to me.

If they're not, well, that's the publisher's problem.

If they sell, and deliver, GLOBAL keys, how are they not legit?

How do cdkeys, G2A and others get their keys because they aren't from the publisher. At best it's a key from another region, which is tantamount to pleading that you should get a poverty discount. At worst it's a money laundering operation, fencing keys purchased with stolen credit cards. Either one should make you uncomfortable.

Nah, my comfort level is pretty high.

Sounds like law enforcement should get involved.

This isn't the place to fucking bitch about cdkeys.com. If you don't like the deal, don't buy it. People are aware that there is a (extremely minor) risk in buying from a grey market site like this.

Exactly, I thought it was a good deal for a good game. Didnt expect the Moral Police to show up. Enjoy to all that are interested.

An argument can be made that grey market keys are legit, I strongly disagree but the case can be made. On the other hand I don't see how keys bought with stolen cards, stolen from the publisher, or created with a keygen are legit and I'm not sure how any site that regularly sells those types of keys can be considered legit either.

I like good deals but I don't like supporting criminals so I don't buy electronics from the back of some shady guys van or game keys from these types of sites. Honestly I wish [H] would take as hard of stance against this as they have against piracy discussion because I think these sites have done more harm to the industry(PC gaming in particular) than piracy ever has.

When I see some investigations of shady shit on cdkeys.com like there has been a ton of for G2A, then maybe I'll consider changing my mind. Most keys on cdkeys.com are not absurdly low...there are sometimes but I haven't seen enough evidence of anything on the level of G2A, and my keys have never shown as some weird language or country, or required a VPN to use...they just work, period.

This isn't even an outrageous price...this game was down at $18 or so directly from Steam not two months ago. I bought Dishonored 2 for $20 the first week or so of release from a Dell retail order. Sometimes great deals on games just happen.

Your post inspired me to do a quick search and it does look like they have less complaints than g2a or kinguin but I did quickly find this, they gave the person a refund but it does show that they've sold bad keys.

The thing is if they're not an authorized seller than they're getting the keys from somewhere besides the publisher and can't really be sure that they're good. I probably wouldn't be so against these key sellers if I thought that they were putting a bit of effort into avoiding stolen keys but it doesn't seem like they do. It also bothers me that these discussions about whether they're legit seems to center on whether the keys activate, especially when publishers have been pressured to not blacklist stolen keys.

And if that ever happened then cdkeys would give a refund anyway. I have bought dozens of keys through them over the years and never once had a problem. And they have excellent customer service if you ever have question or concerns.

This.
Crap like these sites are a huge problem for the industry we all love. Imho, [H] tolerance should be very low, and promotion of sales or these sites prohibited.

People will tolerate and justify nearly anything when it benefits them.

I'm not getting on a high horse, as I have purchased a couple of keys from these sites in the past, but generally I steer clear of them.

It's funny how people complain about the state of PC gaming and then want to pay as little as possible for every game that comes out, even if it means hurting the very industry that's making the games. It's natural to want to get the best deal, but just wait for a Steam sale or something. I know, I know, fuck those greedy assholes that never put the game you want on sale for more than 50% off, right? More self-justification...

It's like the people who take advantage of pricing errors. There are honest mistakes and then there are blatant, way-too-good-to-be-true mistakes. Like the WD SSDs that were selling for $20 or whatever. Not only will people order them knowing it's a mistake and someone else will be losing money, some will actually get pissed off and fight with the seller or the credit card company if they don't get the "deal." Even though the companies that have to absorb costs due to greedy assholes will just end up raising their prices.

It really comes down to self-justification and a sense of entitlement. I'm sure I pissed in someone's cornflakes by saying that...oh well. It's cool to be offended these days. Just take a step back and ask yourself if by purchasing grey market keys you are helping the industry that you claim to love or if you're hurting it for the sake of saving a few bucks.

The point is, there is no need to shit up this thread with tirades about key sites. If you don't like the deal, move along.

Sounds like Capitalism at work. ;)

Looks like they raised the price by $1, are the Moral Police happy now?

Thanks for the heads up. $14.89 CND today, which is a dollar or so cheaper than it was yesterday. Decided to get it.

I've bought from 3rd-party resellers a lot over the past many years, and I've yet to have an issue with any of the keys I've bought.
