I plan on building a headless dedicated folding box and I'm trying to decide whether to use a Pentium 4 ( around 2.4GHz ) or a athlon xp ( around 2GHz ) based system. I have been told that athlon xp's tear up tinkers work units and pentium 4's are better at folding gromacs work units. I'm trying to make the best futureproof solution and arent gromacs work units slated to phase out tinkers units? If thats the case then the intel solution would be the best way to go, right?
